This book tells the true story of the world's most famous cat. The story is lovely but really not that special. Dewey only became that famous because he was the only real piece of news in this small-town and in contrast to most other cats communicated very actively with people, especially unknown ones.
The book is written in a very simple language which kind of annoyed me. Also, after a few pages I was kind of bored by all the details on Dewey's behaviour. I'm a cat-lover and had a cat myself. I liked to watch her behaviour and once in a while talk about it. I could also write a book about her but as she was not famous probably no one would read it. Dewey's story isn't much more interesting just because he is famous - and I also think calling him the world's most famous cat is a little exaggerated.
